Pushing the car - The purpose of this task is to investigate forces acting on a car being pushed up a slope.

This slope simulation software shows that the same amount of force is required to raise an object up a slope, no matter whether the object is near the top or near the bottom of the slope.

Also note that the force required to start an object moving is slightly more than the force required to keep it moving!

Use your mouse to click and pull down on the handle (hanging down from the pulley) and read the values from the spring scale.
